“Hackers” by Teejayx6
The lyrics of “Hackers” are somewhat comedic and are part of a new subgenre of hip-hop which is being referred to as scam rap. What this basically boils down to is that yes, we once again have a rapper bragging about his wealth. However, in this particular instance the way he made his riches is via engaging in fraud. And as the title implies, this was largely done over the internet. However, Teejayx6 also mentions how he ‘scammed a dude from his church’ and sold “window cleaner” as “lean”, thus implying that he does some face-to-face cheating also.
But at the end of day, such activities got him and his mom out of the ‘hood. And one of the reasons he personally had to bounce is due to other dudes being jealous when he began to actually make dough.
So overall, the rapper seems as if he is espousing using the internet for illicit activities. And in that regard he even calls out homeys who are “broke”, telling them to “act like a grown man”, as in get serious about making money. So conclusively, it can be deemed that Teejayx6 is at least proud of being able to generate significant income via internet fraud.
