“How to Kill a Dead Body” by The Big Hash

“How to Kill a Dead Body” is a diss track by The Big Hash, a South African, emcee aimed at one of his fellow Pretoria-based hip-hoppers, J Molley, whom he’s been having a well-publicized back and forth with. So accordingly he goes about levying quite a few insults against his rival, as their quarrel has indeed evolved into a personal tiff. But in summation, the accusations Hash makes against Molley breaks down as follows.

Yes, The Big acknowledges that his enemy has indeed made it big in the music industry.  However, he has done so at the price of ‘selling his soul’. Moreover despite being in the game for a minute, he disses J for falling behind newcomers. But comprehensively he launches perhaps the biggest insult one can make against a male rapper, that he, in reality, “ain’t a real n***a”. Rather he presents J Molley as someone who is trying to fit in and has become popular by latching onto more-authentic artists. Indeed he goes on further to imply that the reason his enemy blew up in the first place was via collaborating with other rappers who are more true to the game.

Meanwhile whereas his collaborator, Flvme, never attacks Molley personally, he does insinuate that he is a ‘b****’, who has bitten off more than he can chew. For now, as the tittle (and cover art) of this track imply, The Big Hash is seemingly ready to take the beef outside of the realm of lyrics and into the world of actually physical confrontation.
