On “Feels Like I Do”, Vin Diesel is addressing someone whom we can say he is in a whirlwind romance with. He sees this lady unexpectedly during a mundane night out at the bar and is immediately smitten by her. So he befriends her, and they spend quality time “all night talking”. And basically, what Vin is saying is that he wants to start a long-term relationship with this lady. And along those same lines, the singer rationalizes such a disposition by stating that he has an internal feeling that he’s already known her, despite the two of them just meeting. Or stated differently, he feels as if he has a rapport with her.

Vin Diesel is of course the A-list Hollywood actor who has held such a status for well over two decades as of the release of this track. This is in fact the first song he has ever dropped, and he did so via Palm Tree Records and Race Track, Inc., with the former entity having Kygo as its co-founder. And “Feel Like I Do” was released on 25 September 2020.
Diesel premiered this song via a virtual appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show dated 24 September 2020. In doing so, he implied that he has been able to concentrate on this project due to Hollywood basically being shut down by the COVID-19 pandemic. He also made a statement akin to saying he had an interest in music even before he got into acting. Also, “Feel Like I Do” would be the lead single from an entire album he’s coming out with. And for the record, Diesel is 53 years old as of the issuance of this track.
Diesel also served as one of the co-writers of this song with Perloff-Giles, Cole Citrenbaum and Petey. And Petey (Martin), who is affiliated with Palm Tree Records, co-produced it with Kygo.
