“Miraculous Tales Of Ladybug & Cat Noir Theme Song” by Brittnee Belt (ft. Cash Callaway)
This is the theme song from a cartoon called “Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir”. The titular Ladybug and Cat Noir are actually teenage superheroes. Moreover they are classmates who do not know each other’s secret identities, even though they team up regularly.
So what we have here are the two singers, Brittnee Belt and Cash Callaway, respectively taking on the roles of Ladybug and Cat Noir. In doing so, the singers also take on the roles of their non-superhero appellations, Marinette Dupain-Cheng and fellow high schooler, Adrien Agreste.
And let’s just say that the four of them, if you will, are caught up in a complex romantic situation. And said situation is what the lyrics of this song by and large represent.
However, luckily for the listener, the wording does not delve into the intricacies of such. Rather the main sentiment that comes forth is that the two vocalists have secret crushes on each other. Also, once again keeping true to the animated series, they don’t know that they have crushes on each other.
Song’s Title
And concerning the main title of the track, as time progresses their admiration for each other just continues to grow. Indeed even at the very moment, they perceive each other as being “miraculous”. So it can be said that the feelings they have for each other are indeed true.
And no, the synopsis in the previous paragraph does not capture everything that is going on in this song. For instance, both vocalists do allude to the idea that they are in fact superheroes, tasked with combating the forces of darkness. But this is one of those kinds of theme songs in which the lyrics have a general applicability outside of the fictional universe which spawned them.
For ambiguous terms such as “secret” and “night” which do in fact, to those in the know, point to the vocalists’ alter egos, are so skillfully used that for those who don’t know they read as if they imply a hidden love as opposed to crime fighting. And at the end of the day, the main sentiment that comes through, which is arguably the main theme of the show itself, is that the two characters at hand really like each other.

Facts about
The song was officially released on 1 November 2015. That was a couple of months after Miraculous itself premiered.
“Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir Theme Song” is a popular children’s show which began airing on 1 September 2015. The program has won numerous awards, and apparently this particular theme song (there are a few in different languages) has proven to be particularly popular.
The vocalists on this track, Cash Callaway and Brittnee Belt, do not actually voice the characters on the show. Rather Ladybug/Marinette Dupain-Cheng is voiced by Cristina Valenzuela and Cat Noir/Adrien Agreste by Bryce Papenbrook.
This is the first collaboration between Brittnee and Cash. There doesn’t seem to be a whole lot of information online about either one of them. But Brittnee Belt, who is from Kansas, has at least one verified album under her belt (no pun intended), that being 2012’s “Elemental Me”. Meanwhile Cash has performed on other cartoon shows as well as “Degrassi: Next Class in 2016”.
Summary
The two narrators find themselves in a situation where they have mutual, secret crushes on one another. In their eyes, they see each other as nothing but “miraculous” and exceptional.
