“I Look Good” by O.T. Genasis
O.T. Genasis is a rapper who is known to possess a bit of a comedic slant, i.e. the title of this piece (“I Look Good”). But that doesn’t mean he doesn’t harp on the same type of topics that his rap music contemporaries do.
And outside of relishing the fact that he ‘looks good’, despite its terseness, this song does feature effective allusions to sex, drugs, money and violence. Indeed the main emphasis, as relayed in the refrain, is on the idea that the vocalist is rich to afford expensive name brands such as Rolex, Bentley and Balenciaga and does in fact purchase them to edify his style.
So it can be said that the reason O.T. is so self-confident or is convinced that he’s attractive is because of the pricey, coveted items which define his fashion sense.

O.T. Genasis and “I Look Good”
O.T. Genasis is a rapper from California who, now having been in the game for almost a decade, hasn’t had a lot of hits but did drop two solid ones, 2014’s “CoCo” and 2015’s “Cut It”. He also has yet, if ever, to come out with a studio album though did drop a handful of mixtapes along the way. Outside of that, Genasis is known for being affiliated with a more established hip-hop musician in Busta Rhymes.
This song was released back in 1 May 2020 and up until this point has not achieved any chart success to speak of. However, what it did accomplish, in early 2022, was being featured on a commercial to promote the iPhone 13. Shortly after appearing on the aforementioned commercial, the song became instantly famous on music platforms such as Shazam and Spotify.
An official music video to this track is available, which was helmed by director Adrian Per.
This song was produced by a musician named Makalo alongside a crew known as Bankroll Got It, consisting of Joel Banks and Taylor Banks. And those three individuals are also acknowledged as co-writers of “I Look Good”, in conjunction with O.T. Genasis.
