“Monsters” by Camylio
The titular “monsters” are a metaphor for the mental torment the vocalist is going through as the result of being broken up from his significant other, who is the addressee of the lyrics. There isn’t much detail given concerning their relationship, i.e. how they broke up, as this song doesn’t feature facts per se but, more to the point, sentiments.
And what’s being put forth is that Camylio has tried everything he can think of, including of course boozing and dating other people, to get over the addressee. But such efforts have proven acts of vanity, as he remains in his feelings into the foreseeable future.
With all of that in mind, what’s sorta being implied here is that the singer has been dumped. Or as he puts it, love is not something you can force. And as far as his feelings for the addressee, he ‘would’ve loved her down to the grave’, i.e. for life, if granted the opportunity. But obviously, granted he was not.
Yet and still, Camylio is not blaming said addressee. The way Camylio sees it is that “sometimes good things”, like the romance they shared, “fall apart”. But such a mature outlook on matters does not mitigate the fact that “heartbreak is cruel” and that the associated emotions don’t just magically disappear. So as much as the vocalist would like to get over the addressee, he has also learned that for the time being he simply cannot.

Camylio is an up-and-coming Republic Records signee from New York who, as of the dropping of “Monsters” on 12 August 2022, is 21 years old.
The singer has been TikTok active since late 2022, and as it currently stands, his account has nearly 4,000,000 followers.
According to a number of sources, the most-popular song he’s dropped to date would be a 2021 outing titled “Ghost Me”.
