She identifies everyday concepts of control and unfairness in society and explains the different ways people are searching for answers everywhere else but within themselves. The system, as she puts it, is full of folks taking advantage of people with less authority. An example of this is when she mentions the instance of putting up a tower at the cost of people losing their homes.

The singer considers all the evils in society and implores people who continue to depend on others to rather save themselves by working hard to take control of their lives.
