“Resentment” by Kesha (ft. Sturgill Simpson, Brian Wilson & Wrabel)

In “Resentment”, Kesha portrays the role of a lady who has suffered abuse from her lover but never reacted to such. And accordingly she has built up a considerable degree of “resentment”. However, this track represents the boiling point when she has finally developed the resolve to not only speak out but also appears as if she is on the verge of dumping this dude.

Indeed the singer finds herself in a situation where she’s “been talking to strangers” concerning her personal issues as the bond between she and her lover is by and large broken. And once again, the implication is that such an unfavorable disposition towards him is a product of his own doing. In fact at the current moment, Kesha’s feelings for him have transcended the realm of hate. But it does not seem she has actually dumped him (yet) but rather appears to be giving him an ultimatum to shape up or ship out.
