You Can’t Put Your Arms Around a Memory by Guns N’ Roses

This track isn’t an original by Guns N’ Roses, but rather a cover of a song by Johnny Thunders. It was included in their 1993 album “The Spaghetti Incident?” The album is a collection of punk and glam rock covers, and it showcased a different side of the band. “You Can’t Put Your Arms Around a Memory” is kind of a nostalgic and somewhat melancholy track, way different from the hard-hitting stuff we’re used to from the band.

Duff McKagan, the bassist, takes on the vocals here, and it’s a real raw and emotional performance. Even though it didn’t smash the charts, it’s a track that kind of sticks with you and shows a different flavor of the band, you know?
