This track is somewhat of a braggadocious/comedic tune. Iamsu! goes about depicting himself as a paid thug – the usual rap music fare – though he takes a relatively-lighthearted approach in doing so. Meanwhile the title of the track is based on the expression “woah, woah, woah”, i.e. “woah” three times, being at the center of the chorus.
Generally speaking, the word woah is like an excited exclamation. And the idea it is meant to point to within the context of this song is the rapper living some type of outstanding lifestyle. And once again this is highlighted by him freely spending wads of cash and living sort of a general type of street life, complete with lyrical allusions to lean and gangbanging.
