Between 2006 and 2016, Band of Horses came out with five albums altogether. And during that span, their most-successful project was their third. That would be 2010’s “Infinite Arms”, which peaked at number 7 on the Billboard 200. Moreover it earned them a Grammy nomination in the category of Best Alternative Album.

Ben Bridwell, the band’s frontman, is the only original member of Band of Horses who is still active in the group as of 2020. Concurrently he is backed up by drummer Creighton Barrett, keyboardist Ryan Monroe, bassist Matt Gentling and guitarist Ian MacDougall.

As far as their singles go, what is arguably the most-popular tune of Band of Horses’ first 15 years of activity came back in 2006. That track is called “The Funeral“, and it has been featured on a plethora of pop media, i.e. a vast number of films and television shows.  Moreover it has been sampled by well-known hip-hop artists such as Kid Cudi, Lil B and Soulja Boy.
