More importantly though she obviously left a good impression on The X Factor founder / celebrity judge Simon Cowell, as in 2013 she earned a record a contract from his label, Syco Music, in addition to Hollywood Records. Around that same time also officially changed her stage name to Bea Miller, with Bea being short for her first name, Beatrice.

Miller dropped her first album, “Not an Apology”, in 2015. The project fared impressively, peaking at number 7 on the Billboard 200. During that same year she was honored by Radio Disney twice. For not only was she named the Next Big Thing by this youth-centered media organization, but her song “Young Blood” also won a Radio Disney Music Award.

Miller released her second album, Aurora, in 2017.  The following year she served as the vocalist on NOTD’s I Wanna Know, which can be considered the biggest hit of her early career.
