“Chug Jug With You” by StackOnIt Music

As pointed out at the bottom of this article, the lyrics of “Chug Jug With You” are actually based on the videogame Fortnite. Moreover it is a parody, which basically means that whereas the world of Fortnite may be fictitious, the vocalist is coming off as if he were living through it in real life, i.e. from a first-person perspective.

You can view the lyrics, alternate interprations and sheet music for StackOnIt Music's Chug Jug With You at Lyrics.org.

So for instance when he states that his “friend just got downed” and then “revived… now… heading southbound”, such is not to be taken literally.

And locations such as “Tomato Town” and “Pleasant Park” are to be found within the game itself. Moreover even in parts of the song where he isn’t using the first person, it’s pretty obvious that he is serious about the task at hand, i.e. emerging victorious from a Fortnite Battle Royale.

Chug Jug

Meanwhile concerning the name of this track, the “Chug Jug” is an in-game device found on Battle Royale. It is actually a healing item, with a whole bunch of other potential benefits.

So basically, when the singer states that he wants to “chug jug with you” it’s like an invitation to befriend other “pro Fortnite gamers”.

Verse 2

Well the second verse doesn’t come off as being friendly per se but is still kinda funny.  Here, the vocalist is interacting with one of his in-game friends, who is requesting that he help him with some HP, i.e. hit points, which is how videogames such as Fortnite measure a character’s health.

In other words, the player being “only at 1 HP” means if he suffers another serious blow, his character dies. But the vocalist is letting him know that he doesn’t really have any to HP spare.

And he also kinda recommends to this “dude” that he spend some “V-Bucks” in order to properly prepare for the game, i.e. purchase more HP.

And just to note V-Bucks, the name of the currency used in Fortnite, is by and large acquired, i.e. purchased using real-life money.

Verse 3

And basically the third verse considers the same type of jargon. It’s the type which really only a player of the game would understand in detail.

But it’s also such that videogame fans, as well as competitors in general, should be able to relate to it. For the main sentiment being expressed in this passage centers on the vocalist’s desire, once again, to score a “victory royale”.
