“Eagle Rock” by Daddy Cool
“The Eagle Rock”, as implied by the lyrics, is actually a type of dance. What the lyrics don’t indicate is that said dance actually dates back to early 20th century Africa-America. But in any event it is quite amazing that this song, which was dropped back in 1971, reads a lot like the booty-shaking tunes we commonly come across here in the 21st century.
That is not to say that there is any mention of female body parts or anything like that. But it is pretty obvious that the addressee is someone who the vocalist is romantically interested in and likes watching dance. And it also doesn’t take rocket since to figure out that as presented, the “good old Eagle Rock” can be taken as metaphorically alluding to sex between the vocalist and addressee.
