“Fine” by Mike Shinoda

“Fine” is a song by Mike Shinoda, who as of its release is known primarily as a member of the popular rock band Linkin Park. It is featured on an upcoming Russian sci-fi film entitled “The Blackout” (2019). He was enlisted to work on the project by the director of the film. And the movie itself is based on a plot where the protagonists are up against what has been generally described as a “mysterious enemy”

And basically, that is also the subject matter of the song itself. The singer is in a situation where he and his associates are compelled to defend themselves against some sort of threat. And this danger reads as if it may be savage in nature. Yet despite this harrowing menace, the narrator assures his associates that “everything is going to be fine”. This is apparently the source of the track’s title.

So once again the overall insinuation, which includes a statement that Mike has made about the origin of the track,  is that the lyrics are directly inspired by the plot of the movie. But being that information on “The Blackout” is scant at the time of the issuance of this song, such remains to actually be seen.

FYI:

As aforementioned, Mr. Shinoda is known primarily as the guitarist of the mega-successful music group Linkin Park. However, in recent times he has been compelled to pursue a solo career. This is the direct result of the band being on hiatus since 2017 after its lead singer, Chester Bennington, committed suicide.
