“Hey Tayo” by Enhypen
As noted in the trivia section, “Hey Tayo” is associated with a children’s cartoon. And in said program the titular Tayo is in fact a “friendly little bus”, i.e. a sentient one that talks, chills with his homeys, etc. We personally don’t know much about Tayo, having never watched the show ourselves. But according to the chorus, on top of being “friendly” he also “loves to run” and ‘have fun’, i.e. traversing from here to there at different speeds.
Also, the refrain reveals that he’s a brave soul, being willing to go to different locations despite adverse weather and road conditions or other potential dangers. And this bravery is buttressed by Tayo having “his friends” for backup.
But as for the song’s singular verse, it doesn’t appear to have anything to do with Tayo at all. Rather Enhyphen uses the opportunity to tout this piece as a dance song. Indeed there’s a party-like atmosphere being promoted, whereas everyone is afforded the opportunity to “have some fun” by partaking of the adventures of Tayo in general. Or put differently, being a theme song and all, this is actually an encouragement to watch the show.
“Hey Tayo”
This track was designed to serve as the theme song to Tayo the Little Bus, a popular children’s television program in South Korea that began airing in 2010. The original run of the series actually went off air in 2019. So apparently Enhyphen dropped this as a sort of a tribute to the show.
This is a program that the members of Enhyphen likely grew up watching considering their ages. For instance the oldest bandmate, Heeseung, is only 20 years old as of this track’s dropping on 29 July 2021. And Niki, being the youngest member of the group, is 16. And in between those age ranges we have the other five participants –

The writer of this song is Iconix Entertainment, i.e. the media company behind the production of Tayo the Little Bus. And it was produced by an entity known as B.A.M.
