“House of Love” by East 17
In “House of Love”, East 17 explores the subject of replacing the hatred, chaos and destruction in the world with love. This concept, which finds its roots in scriptures, talks about how love can be used as a strong unifying force in a broken world.
The singers suggest that all the pain, chaos and ongoing wars can be stopped if everybody will just love his neighbor. He also mentions how Mother Earth is on the verge of explosion and destruction because of the hatred and wickedness perpetrated by humans. This hatred, based on skin color, race, creed or religion is unnecessary in the eyes of the writer. According to him, love can conquer it all.
The narrator calls on each person to let go of all the discrimination, hatred and wars and focus on positive feelings such as love, hope and unity. Although there isn’t much time, the narrator strongly believes that if people start embracing the power of love, the world can become a much better place within a short period.
