“I Just Couldn’t Save You Tonight” by Ardhito Pramono (ft. Aurelie Moeremans)

Apparently on “I Just Couldn’t Save You Tonight”, what the singers ‘couldn’t be saved from’ is falling in love with each other. The two vocalists portray the role of lovers who despite obviously feeling each other do not seem overly keen on the idea of getting into a relationship. The implication is that, on top of being caught unaware by this emotional situation, they are not entirely sure if the other person feels the same. But either way, despite their apprehensions they are powerless to the affairs of the heart. And it appears as if this moment may serve as the beginning of a loving romance.

This song comes to us via the soundtrack of an Indonesian film entitled Story of Kale: When Someone’s in Love. And the two vocalists also happen to be the two stars of the movie. Ardhito Pramono plays the titular role of Kale, and his co-star, Aurelie Moeremans, portrays Dinda, the romantic interest.

The multi-talented Ardhito Pramono also wrote and co-produced I Just Couldn’t Save You Tonight. And the other co-producer is Nada Permana.
