“Let’s Go Brandon” by Bryson Gray (ft. Tyson James & Chandler Crump)

Around this time last year, Trump bashing was all the rage. But these days, more recently-elected US President Joe Biden has been catching his own fair share of critical hell also. And let’s just say that some Americans being who they are, will not hesitate to frankly express their displeasure to his face.

You can view the lyrics, alternate interprations and sheet music for Bryson Gray's Let’s Go Brandon at Lyrics.org.

The ‘Let’s Go Brandon’ trend actually dates back to 2 October 2021. At the time a NASCAR driver named Brandon Brown won a race called the Sparks 300. Apparently this event was televised by NBC, as the network proceeded to interview Brown after his victory. And while in the process of doing so, some raucous people in the stands were chanting “f–k Joe Biden”.

“Let’s Go Brandon”

Now if you were to actually watch said segment of the interview, you would see that they were doing so in a manner where the interviewer, Kelli Stavast, at first chuckled and then really didn’t have any choice but to addressee the matter.

Indeed even Brown himself looked quite disturbed. And under the circumstances, the interviewer can be said to have handled the situation as professionally as she could. That is to say that Stavast pretty much lied and reported that the crowd was chanting “let’s go Brandon” instead of “f–k Joe Biden”.

So that’s why, at the beginning of the previous paragraph, we actually put “let’s go Brandon” into single quotes, because as originally announced, it was actually a misquote. In other words, there really wasn’t anything like “let’s go Brandon” back then.

But by that time, the damage had already been done. Many of the people who dislike President Biden – and given the nature of his job in present times there are in fact many – got an absolute kick out of Stavast’s attempt to save face for the Prez.

So such individuals then went about adopting the “let’s go Brandon” as a roundabout way of saying “f–k Joe Biden”, you know, damning him without really cursing him. So now if you see that phrase anywhere, you know what it actually means. And so it is with this song.

The “Let’s Go Brandon” Song

So basically what we’re dealing with here is a rack by three pro-Trump rappers. Such individuals, whom we will refer to as Trumpers, tend to possess a particular disdain for President Biden. And this is not only due to the fact that he’s the Donald’s main political adversary, but also many of such people feel he “stole” the election.

So count these conservative-Christian rappers, as they are called, amongst those who used the “let’s go Brandon” opportunity to more precisely express their issues with the current government.

And interestingly enough, the first issue that is actually confronted isn’t a political one per se but rather COVID-19 vaccinations. For all we know, even though it doesn’t seem as likely, Americans would probably be faced with the same vaccine mandates they are now if President Trump had been reelected.

But as alluded to earlier, it’s Joe Biden’s presidency that must more squarely deal with the pandemic. And as revealed in a hyperlink inserted a few paragraphs back, one of the main reasons a lot of people hate Biden is because of his sweeping vaccine regulations.

Verse 1

So once we get around to actual first verse, Bryson Gray proclaims though doesn’t elaborate on the idea that the masses are being forced to vaccinate for fictitious reasons. Indeed he depicts “these politicians” as “demons” who are out to poison the people, if you will.

A further implication is that they are using vaccine mandates to stomp on civil liberties. And in that regard he namedrops Australia. And why? Australia is known to have adopted some of the most stringent anti-COVID measures in the world.

So Bryson eventually concludes the verse by noting that, all things considered, he’s not down to follow these rules. And his bravery to stand up to the powers that be is buttressed by his belief in God.

Verse 2

Then, Tyson James holds down the second verse. And he goes straight at Joe Biden, referring to “that man” as “a wreck”. What he is likely pointing to is that the US President has displayed health issues. And by the way, these health issues are perhaps to be expected of a person who’s nearly 80 years old. These health challenges have caused some to question his fitness holding down such a demanding job.

Tyson then directs the listeners’ attention to what sounds like a conspiracy theory but is more along the lines of verified fact. And the said theory/fact is that the President’s recent decision to withdraw the US military from Afghanistan actually empowered their rivals therein, the Taliban.

And the rest of Tyson’s verse proceeds to make a few more points though most pressingly that, akin to Bryson, he’s not down with the system.

In fact James actually implies that he’s willing to physically fight in the name of avoiding vaccine mandates for instance. Also, he questions the overall sanity of those who do decide to simply go with the flow. He then continues to note President Biden’s less-than-ideal mental health.

Verse 3

The final verse belongs to Chandler Crump. He actually refers to himself and his cohorts as “patriots”. These “patriots” are Americans who firmly believe in the ideals upon which the United States was founded. And it is such individuals whom he states are being persecuted in the here and now.

Also interesting to note is that Chandler then apparently proceeds to diss pedophiles, which has to be like a first as far as rap songs go. It has been put forth by some music scholars that he may actually be dissing President Biden himself. And why? Biden has been criticized for getting uncomfortably close to some females, including little girls, in the past.

But as far as conspiracy theory circles go, which these rappers definitely seem to be into, there has also been reports as of late that certain interest groups have been trying to legalize pedophilia in the Unites States. And it seems something like that is what Crump is more likely referring to, since he utilizes such a macrocosmic follow-up statement like “let’s save all the youth”.

The vocalist then goes on to mention “pilots on strike”. This is an allusion to the fact that masses of American workers have in fact gone on strike (or flat-out quit) due to vaccine mandates including, at least theoretically, a bunch of airline pilots.

He then criticizes the way the US border crisis is currently being handled. He does so by basically insinuating, as with vaccinations, that President Biden doesn’t really care for the people. In fact as Chandler sees it all of this confusion is more or less a divide-and-conquer strategy, i.e. making the public easier to control by causing divisions amongst them.

Chorus of “Let’s Go Brandon”

And finally, as far as the chorus is concerned, it prominently features the term “let’s go Brandon”. But in terms of the many gripes the artists have, it only actually mentions two. One is that the COVID-19 pandemic is, under their belief, a fabrication, i.e. an event “planned” and orchestrated by the powers that be.

And second is the notion that if you’re someone who is inquisitive as to what’s actually going on behind the scenes, then you get ‘banned’.

All in All

And as lengthy as this song analysis is, it could probably be twice as long if we really delved into all that’s being said. So it tends to be with tracks that are based on conspiracy theories. And Bryson Gray, for lack of a better analogy, comes off a lot like a Black Tom McDonald.

However, one blaring different between those two artists is that Bryson is a lot less anti-government per se. As noted earlier, even though the Donald isn’t mentioned in the lyrics, these rappers are Trumpers. And possessing such a mindstate would imply that they aren’t criticizing the America government as a whole but rather the group currently in power. And at the head of that group lies Joe Biden.

So it’s like Biden hasn’t even gotten through the first year of his presidency yet. And by the looks of things, he may have to get just as accustomed to getting dissed as President Trump before him.

Who is Bryson Gray?

According to Bryson Gray’s YouTube channel at the writing of this post, he is a “Christian Conservative Artist”. Concurrently, there are a couple of images of the rapper holding what appears to be AK-47s.

So obviously he’s not of the pacifist Christian variety and perhaps can also be equated to more mainstream rappers as far as gunplay goes. Moreover, according to his (unreviewed) Genius bio, Bryson is a Trump supporter.

And whereas it may read unusual to come across an African-American rapper that supports Donald Trump, truth be told there’s been quite a few of them who are a lot more famous than Bryson.

Bryson Gray is a name we’ve never heard before, until “Let’s Go Brandon blew up. And he” currently doesn’t have a Wikipedia page or anything like that. However, once again referring to his YouTube channel, the rapper has appeared on Billboard charts a few times.

Moreover it is reported that his 2020 project “Can’t Cancel God” topped one of iTunes’ Gospel Albums charts. This is a fact that’s proving difficult for us to verify independently. But that undertaking also, even if only briefly, reached 22nd place on the iTunes US Albums chart proper.

Currently Bryson Gray sports a 150,000 follower count on Instagram.

Facts about “Let’s Go Brandon”

Let it be known that there are other raps entitled “Let’s Go Brandon” that came out around the same time as Bryson Gray’s track. The first was by a dude named Loza Alexander, and that tune also proved a big hit. Then there’s another unknown Trumper by the name of Forgiato Blow who came out with a country rap of the same name.

So after Loza Alexander’s “Lets Go Brandon”, Bryson Gray’s “Let’s Go Brandon” would reportedly be the second track entitled so to have topped the iTunes US Songs chart.

Currently, there are actually four different ‘Let’s Go Brandon’ songs in circulation. Interesting to note is that all these songs have been met with some level of success. In fact as of this writing, Bryson’s version is at number one on the aforementioned list and Loza Alexander, number two.

The reason that Bryson’s rendition has been getting so much press is because in the process of topping said chart, he knocked Adele’s highly-anticipated comeback song, “Easy on Me” (2021), out of the number one spot. And just for the record, Adele, being an A+ list singer, is immensely more popular than virtually-unknown Bryson.

By the looks of things, even though this is by far Bryson’s biggest hit, “Let’s Go Brandon” is nowhere to be found on his YouTube channel. This is despite the fact that the song has an official music video and all (which can actually be found on conspiracy theorist Alex Jones’ Infowars channel).

According to Bryson, this is in fact due to it being censored by YouTube (as well as reportedly Instagram). However, he also went on to express that said censorship actually contributed to the track blowing up.

More Facts

It would appear that Bryson Gray is actually from or at least currently resides in Tennessee – Murfreesboro to be exact.

This song has been endorsed by US House of Representatives’ member Lauren Boebert (Colorado), who as expected is a Republican (as opposed to President Joe Biden being a Democrat).

Bryson Gray’s two co-stars, Chandler Crump and Tyson James, are also rappers we’re now coming across for the first time. And both of them are likewise Donald Trump supporters.

There are three celebrities namedropped in this song, all by Bryson Gray. In the chorus, rapper / media personality Nick Cannon, who is often viewed as an outspoken conspiracy theorist himself, is mentioned.

And in the first verse NBA star Kyrie Irving and rap superstar Nicki Minaj are also directly referenced. And that is because both of them, despite facing public backlash and commercial repercussions, have acted out against COVID-19 vaccine mandates.

The three vocalists of this song are also credited as the writers of “Let’s Go Brandon”. And by the looks of things, Bryson Gray released it himself, on the date of 15 October 2021.

Opinionated article. Tho I agree with some I absolutely disagree with others.
Perhaps at this point, 12/28/ 2021, we should be more concerned about our President. Don’t we have the ability to stand and protect our Commander & Chief? What I see is elder abuse sponsored by our government as Biden’s family sits back complacently.
