“Little Miss Dangerous” by Ted Nugent

Usually we don’t delve into the realm of celebrity gossip, but in this case doing so may be applicable in terms of deciphering the song at hand, which was also written by the singer.

You can view the lyrics, alternate interprations and sheet music for Ted Nugent's Little Miss Dangerous at Lyrics.org.

Ted Nugent is an entertainer who has basically been accused of statutory rape, i.e. having sex with girls who are legally underaged. This is something which Nugent himself once reportedly fessed up to

And in terms of related stories that have been told about him, one of such comes from fellow rock star Courtney Love herself, who claims to have orally serviced Nugent around the time he was 30, and she was 12.

Pele Massa

Also, this very song is said to be about a particular lady named Pele Massa, whom Nugent began dating when she was 17, and he was, once again, around 30. Doing so, despite the fact that she was of legal age as far as her home state of Hawaii is concerned, presented its challenges. However, her parents were down for the cause, and ultimately they ended up enjoying a solid 10 years together.

Indeed you may be saying to yourself that a 13-year age difference between lovers, despite being a bit unusual, isn’t necessarily alarming. But it can be when you’re dealing with a man like Ted Nugent whose, according to his Genius page, most-popular song is entitled “Jailbait” (1981).

And yes, the lyrics of said tune are in fact centered on the singer being inappropriately attracted to a girl who is “just 13” years old. So with all of that in mind, even barring of the foreknowledge of who this song is about, you can already figure out the direction Nugent is going just by the title.

“Little Miss Dangerous”

And apparently in the pre-social media age a pop musician signed to a major label like Atlantic could get away dropping a song about a lady “with a little girl’s face” and “such a dangerous body” who is “about the stroke of 12” (i.e. out in the midnight) “looking for sex”.

Well in Nugent’s defense, at least in this song he doesn’t mention the object of his desire’s age. But if in fact it is about Pele Massa, which is very well may be, then again, she was of legal age.

But that being noted, one of main reasons the vocalist is attracted to the lady at hand is because of her ‘little girl face’. Thus even if the subject is not underaged, the singer still lets it be known that he’s attracted to such an age group nonetheless.

Indeed it is not unreasonable to believe that as a pop star, Nugent regularly came across girls like the one mentioned in this song. She is someone whom we can say perhaps likes hanging out later than she should be, obviously with an older crowd.

Lyrics of "Little Miss Dangerous"

But then again, who are we to judge? For as noted earlier, she is verily ‘looking for fun’, being “on fire” even. Moreover she enjoys “walking on the wild side” and would definitely achieve both of those goals hanging out in the late night in the type of venue where you would find the likes of Ted Nugent.

As a matter of fact going back again to Pele Massa, if this song is actually about her, that would likely mean she and Nugent met in a nightclub or somewhere of the sort. And also there may be an allusion to her being mature for her age – or “so complex” as the singer puts it.

Narrator has eyes only for Lil Miss Dangerous

Throughout the lyrics, there is little indication that he is looking for someone in his own age group. Or instead, more to the point of the song is that out of all of the ladies he may have come across this night, it is “little miss dangerous (body)” who he is smitten by the most.

Ted Nugent, the Controversial Character!

As you have probably gathered from some of the information mentioned above, Nugent is the type who isn’t afraid to speak to his mind.

Also he is one of those controversial figures, even beyond liking girls. For instance, he has made racists comments as well as very-tasteless ones as far as warfare, religion, animal rights, etc. is concerned.

He is also an outspoken Republican and is so don’t-give-AF that he was once questioned by the Secret Service. This was in regards to comments he made against the presidency of Barack Obama.

He is also recognized as a very-involved pro-gun activist. Nugent’s counter-mainstream views may explain why most people likely never really heard of him. And this is despite the fact that he has released nearly 40 albums between 1975 and 2013 and has been signed by major labels such as Epic and Atlantic.

In terms of Ted Nugent’s heyday that would have been during the 1970s. And it was in 1977 when he achieved his highest position on the Billboard Hot 100, at number 30, with his track “Cat Scratch Fever”.
