So, here’s what went down that tragic day: Notti and his buddies were roaming in his old neighborhood and bumped into this 15-year-old rival rapper, dude named Martinez. Stuff escalated real quick – Notti armed himself with a broom handle and with his friend, pursued Martinez into a subway station.

Not long after that, Martinez was cornered. Notti proceeded to hit him with the stick, and then Martinez whipped out a knife, stabbing Notti in the abdomen.

During this chaos, Martinez got knocked onto the subway tracks and got some puncture wounds when one of Notti’s friends came at him with a sharp object. Notti collapsed on the platform while Martinez managed to escape. But check this, Martinez’s mom took him to the detectives later that day.

The cops slapped cuffs on Martinez, first hitting him with a second-degree murder charge which then got knocked down to first-degree manslaughter after the prosecutors figured he acted in self-defense. They also slapped a criminal possession charge on him.

Notti, on the other hand, had just been putting out pics of his new single, “Without You,” collaborating with one of his bros. He’d only just landed in Yonkers and was in the infancy of his rap career, so not a whole lot is known about his background.

And man, the disrespect following his death was wild. His opps dropped a diss track, “Notti bop,” not even waiting for the dust to settle, dissing him and crafting a dance mimicking Notti’s tragic end. Just raw and heartless stuff out there.

So Sad

It is extremely sad. A kid with dreams, caught up in some real tough stuff, it’s heart-wrenching. Just 14 and already enveloped in such violence and rivalry. It’s so messed up thinking about how he was trying to build a future in music and then everything just ended so abruptly and so violently on that subway platform.

The whole situation, with his rival Martinez, it just makes you think how quickly things spiraled out of control between them. And then the diss track released afterward? That’s just cold. A young life lost, and then being dissed like that? It’s a tragic reminder of how brutal the world can be, especially for young, aspiring artists trying to make it in such a competitive and ruthless industry.

Wish the story was different, that young talents could find mentorship and a safe path to follow their dreams. It’s a heavy tale for sure.
