Sinead O’Connor

Sinead O’Connor was an especially talented musician from Ireland. She was born in the Irish capital of Dublin in December 1966. In July 2023 the singer’s lifeless body was found in her home in South London in England.  

O’Connor achieved massive global fame through her signature tune and one of her most successful songs “Nothing Compares 2 U“.

Released in November 1989, “The Lion and the Cobra” album served as the singer’s first studio offering. Her sophomore album “I Do Not Want What I Haven’t Got” was her most successful record. It earned O’Connor her first #1 hit in several regions including the United States and the United Kingdom.

The Irish singer eventually won her first Grammy award in 1991 for her album “I Do Not Want What I Haven’t Got”. It won the “Best Alternative Music Performance” category.
