According to Sebastián Yatra, the inspiration behind this song is the morning sun, how a new day also represents a new prospect for happiness. And as far as the main motif upon which the lyrics are based, such symbolism is used to convey the idea of the vocalist being granted a new lease on life, so to speak.
But as implied by the title, which translates to “Red High Heels”, this piece is actually a love song. In other words, the reason the vocalist is so giddy is because the actual subject is his sweetheart, someone whom he classifies as his “piece of sun”.

Sebastián also co-directed the music video to this track with Daniel Duran. The clip was filmed in Spain. It features an actress from that country named Clara Galle.

And with Colombia being located in Latin America, Yatra also specialized in Spanish-language music.
