Top Songs by Them
Them, the Irish rock band led by Van Morrison, had a number of hits during their brief time together in the mid-1960s. Some of their top songs include:
- Gloria
- Here Comes the Night
- Baby, Please Don’t Go
- Mystic Eyes
- Don’t Start Crying Now
- If You and I Could Be as Two
- Little Girl
While the aforementioned songs are among the most recognized from Them, Van Morrison’s time with the band was short-lived, and he went on to have an extensive and influential solo career. Still, the impact of Them’s music is undeniable and has influenced many rock bands that followed.
Members
The original lineup of Them included:
- Van Morrison – Vocals and saxophone. He was the main driving force behind the band and later went on to have a very successful solo career.
- Billy Harrison – Guitar
- Alan Henderson – Bass
- Ronnie Millings – Drums
- Eric Wrixon – Keyboards
As with many bands of the era, Them had several lineup changes throughout their existence. Alan Henderson was the only member to remain with the band consistently until their dissolution in the early 1970s. After Van Morrison left Them in 1966, the band continued on with various members for several more years but never achieved the same level of success without Morrison.
