“We’re All We Need” by Above & Beyond (ft. Zoë Johnston)

“We’re All We Need” is one of those love songs in which the vocalist is putting forth the notion that she and the addressee, in unison, are able to face the world. Or as she puts it in regards to their relationship, they are all each other needs in life. Furthermore whereas the addressee is referred to as “darling”, this song does in fact feature a female vocalist. So with that in mind, the lyrics are ambiguous enough that she can be speaking to a variety of types of loved ones, though the logical conclusion would be that this piece is romantic in nature.
