Who are The King Will Come?
According to their official website, the mission of The King Will Come is the group being intended to stand as “a multicultural, multi-denominational Christian worship collective of modern songwriters, producers, musicians, artists, and creatives dedicated to building bridges, having honest spiritual conversations, and experiencing true relationship with God”.
With that in mind, “the King” found in their moniker would undoubtedly be a reference to Jesus, and the “will come” part alludes to the prophesied Second Coming.
That said, there really isn’t much information available on this group at the time. For instance, the internal links on their website, besides for a “Donate” button. And a couple of them, i.e. the “Volunteer” and “Community” links, take you to forms to respectively get in contact with the group or join their newsletter.
That aforenoted “Donate” section would imply that they are akin to an NGO. But that said, there doesn’t appear to be anyplace on the website delineating the already-established members.
As of this writing, The King Will Come are advertising an event called “Warehouse Worship: End of Summer Concern” via Facebook. The listed hosts are the aforementioned Ashley Hess alongside one Henry Ammar who, according to his own webpage, “is a human behavior expert, impact leader, internationally-renowned speaker”, etc. His site doesn’t say anything about his religious beliefs, and it is not clear if he is officially part of The King Will Come or is just helping them organize said concert.
The earliest post on The King Will Come’s own Facebook page dates back to November of 2021. But as stated earlier, it appears that “Yet” is their first official single.
