14 Years by Guns N’ Roses

“14 Years” from the same album is a classic but with a twist because it’s Izzy Stradlin on lead vocals, not Axl. Released in ’91 as well, this track talks about a longtime relationship that just falls apart because of all the issues they couldn’t work out. Izzy and Axl co-wrote this one and it’s such a raw and real track, with lyrics that punch you right in the gut with how relatable they are. The piano in the background gives it a melancholic edge while the guitars keep it rocking. It’s a bit more laid back than some of their other tracks but carries its own weight on the album.
