Alice Merton
Alice Merton is a singer with Canadian, British and German citizenship. This is due to the fact that her family moved around a lot, as her dad is a mining consultant. And she also has family in the United States.
Alice actually began participating in recorded music projects from a prepubescent age. But her breakthrough came in 2016 via her first single, “No Roots“. Said song was indeed a smash, charting in nearly 20 countries overall and topping Billboard’s US Rock Airplay chart as well as on other respected music listings, in addition to achieving platinum status in a number of European countries. Shortly thereafter, in 2018, she came out with her debut EP which itself is entitled “No Roots”, which achieved number-one ranking in France. And in 2019, Merton dropped her debut full-length, “Mint”, an album she co-wrote which was also an international success.
In terms of her multi-national citizenry, Alice is known to actually prefer living in Germany (Berlin to be exact). This is where she initially made a name for herself on the music scene. And she also earned a bachelor’s degree from Popakademie Baden-Württemberg, which is a music institution located in Germany.
