“Bad Habits” by Usher
On “Bad Habits”, the vocalist (Usher) is admitting that he has a negative behavior pattern. And the issue is, succinctly put, he conducts himself like a womanizer. Stated differently, he is a sucker for romance. But unfortunately he has issues committing to just one woman. So it’s like if he’s with one lady he really likes, eventually he’ll meet another. And then when he’s with her, one of his exes will holla, and he’ll go back to one of his old girlfriends. Or he can be in a relationship with a girl and simultaneously kickin’ it to her best friend. So yes, Usher does in fact have it bad. But at the same time, he is at least idealistically committed to overcoming this cycle.
This track was produced by Lxrd Rossi and Pierre Medor. And they also served as co-writers alongside Theron Thomas, Keith Thomas and of course Usher.
The official music video to this song came out on the same day it was released, 10 September 2020. And Chris Robinson is the name of the director of said visual.
It is anticipated that RCA Records, the label behind “Bad Habits”, will feature it on a forthcoming yet unspecified Usher album.
