“Better Life” by Joshua Radin

The lyrics of “Better Life” read somewhat like a love song. But in reality, the vocalist is actually addressing a country as opposed to another person. That is to say that the addressee is the personification of a nation. And said nation (as further alluded to by the cover art) would be one of the likes of America, the UK or any country which serves a desired destination for a troubled immigrant. For Joshua Radin is taking on the role of such an individual. And basically, what he is basing his dreams for the future on is a “better life” in this new land.
