“I’d Rather Be With You” by Joshua Radin

As more or less explained by Joshua Radin in relation to this song (“I’d Rather Be With You”), what the lyrics center on is the concept of the vocalist coming to the realization that the addressee is the one. This is something he didn’t realize earlier on, and perhaps it can also be said was not brave enough to act upon.  But in the here and now, he understands that the only way to stave off depression is with her by his side. Furthermore, he has come to the conclusion that it would be best if he were to age with a partner such as the addressee in his life.
