“Bustdown Rollie Avalanche” by Kai Cenat (ft. NLE Choppa)

The chorus and title of “Bustdown Rollie Avalanche” comes from a rap Kai Cenat dropped in 2020, as noted later in the article. The titular phrase feels a lot like an impromptu colloquialism, one that is saturated with money-based braggadocio. According to one report, that is in fact the case. Simply stated, a “Bustdown Rollie Avalanche” is a user-customized, diamond-encrusted Rolex, thus making the already-pricey timepiece a lot more expensive.

So with that in mind, what we are met with in the first verse is Kai boasting about being rich and showy. In the passage, the rapper states that he’s “only 18”. This implies that these lyrics may have been written a couple of years ago. And why? Because he’s currently 20 years of age. Also whether or not he’s as rich as presented is a matter of debate, though it should be noted that even though Cenat has yet to be known in musical circles, he is a successful YouTuber.

Meanwhile, Choppa takes the second verse in a different direction by rather harping on the subject of gun-based street violence. More specifically, he presents himself and his crew as people you don’t want to mess with, as they resort to gats and some pretty powerful ones at that. And Choppa was indeed raised in Parkway Village, one of the most-dangerous neighborhoods in Memphis. So undoubtedly he has dealt with such matters, i.e. having experience with the street life.

Kai Cenat and “Bustdown Rollie Avalanche”

Kai Cenat is a social media star, apparently being from New York. As of this writing, he is 20 years old with approximately 1.4 followers on Instagram and an additional 2.4 million via YouTube. He has participated in a handful of songs in the past, dating back to “Amp Freshman Cypher 2020”, with AMP (aka Any Means Possible) being a crew of prominent YouTubers whom Kai is down with. 

In fact it was via that song, which came out in 2020, that the phrase “bustdown rollie avalanche”, as recited by Cenat, was coined. And some of the lyrics he dropped on that track is also used as the chorus of “Bustdown Rollie Avalanche”.

This track, which came out on 8 May 2022, stands as Kai Cenat’s first official single. In that regard he scored a major collab via NLE Choppa, who is actually a trending rapper of the day.
