“Enough” by Fantasia

This is a love song, with the singer expressing an overwhelming sentiment to be with her partner (i.e. the addressee of this track).

Apparently the premise behind the song is this individual ensuring Fantasia that he would be with her “forever”. And Fantasia, due to her deep level of affection for this person, interprets this guarantee literally, as in never wanting him to leave her side. Thus she is disappointed – for lack of a better word – that she cannot be with him always, as the time they do spend together passes too quickly for her liking. So she states that even if could be with her “forever” that “ain’t long enough”. This is Fantasia’s way of saying that no matter how much time her lover spends with her she still won’t be satisfied, as again she desire to be with him 24/7. And what this all boils down to is an expression of the “real love” Fantasia has for the individual she is singing to.

Fantasia is so deeply in love that no matter how much time she spends with her boo, it is still not “enough”.
