“forever&more” by Role Model

Role Model’s “forever&more” is a love song. In fact as fully read within the lyrics, the titular statement, in its entirety, would be ‘I’m stuck with you forever, ever and more’. So that expression alone lets you know what this piece is about thesis-wise. But the wording within the verses also reveal a lot about what’s going down.

For instance, the two of them, i.e. the vocalist and his lover, hooked up in the summer. And the present time of the year would be sometime post-Thanksgiving. Well anyway, one of the first things he details about her is actually his own similarities to her ex.

But more to the point, at least from his perspective, would apparently be the fact that they have a lot of sex. Like, it’s evident that Role Model really enjoys the sex. And he also seems to be more or less under the impression that such is also what she relishes the most about their association.  Or, let’s just say that the sexual aspect of this relationship is its most prominent feature.

Meanwhile, the pre-chorus further implies that this romance is a relatively “new” one. And the whole situation is taking place somewhere away from the vocalist’s actual ‘hood, as he is imagining how “the boys back home” are going to react when they meet his “angel wearing plaid”.

And, that’s pretty much it. Role Model is most simply celebrating the fact that he’s in love. And as such situations tend to go, he is also convinced that this relationship with his new sweetheart will be one that lasts “forever”.
