In the beginning of the song, the singer is sad because she has no idea where her partner could be. She also notices the presence of another lady. This makes her a little suspicious of what could be going on between the two of them.

The setting of the story is synonymous to a happy place but she is feeling sad when everyone else is happy. She however tries to hide her pain from the people around her asking them to keep enjoying but rather allow her to be alone for a while.

In the latter part of the song, her partner surprises her with the news of marrying the same lady she suspected him to be cheating on her with.

The chorus of the song is a way of telling the other people to not stop her from weeping because they would have done the same if they were in her shoes so they should allow her to cry over what she has lost.
