In 2012 in the American city of Boston, Massachusetts, the indie rock band, The Rare Occasions was formed. At the time of its formation, the band consisted of these members:
- Brian McLaughlin (lead vocalist, guitarist)
- Jeremy Cohen (bassist)
- Luke Imbusch (drummer)
- Peter Stone (lead guitarist)
In 2018, Stone decided to leave the band and focus on his own thing. That same year, the band released the album “Into the Shallows” as their very first studio album. In 2021, they came out with their second studio album titled “Big Whoop”. Despite being professionally active since 2012, global stardom eluded them until 2021 when their single titled “Notion” achieved virality on TikTok.
