Adam Lambert

Adam Lambert is one of those types of musicians who was able to fully capitalize on the televised singing-competition circuit. More specifically, he became famous after participating on American Idol in 2009. And even though he didn’t win the grand prize (he was first runner-up), Lambert still used his newfound success to drop an album entitled “For Your Entertainment” (2009). Said project went gold in the US and platinum in a few other countries. And his second album, “Trespassing” (2012), topped the Billboard 200.

  • “Whataya Want from Me” (2009)
  • “If I Had You” (2010)
  • “Ghost Town” (2015)

In the years that followed his musical success fell off a bit. However, he is an openly-gay musician and has remained in the public spotlight as a celebrity advocate for the LGBT community.

In 2020, he released the fourth album of his career titled “Velvet”. This album birthed a number of popular songs, including “New Eyes“. Aside his solo career, Lambert is also known for his collaboration with the surviving members of Queen.

Lambert has been formally involved in music even before his teenage years. And interesting to note is that amongst his many gigs prior to blowing up, he actually was a cruise ship performer and also performed in a musical alongside Hollywood actor Val Kilmer.
