Baro Sura
Baro Sura is a hip-hop artist from the Land Down Under. But despite hailing from Australia, he actually traces his ancestry back to Ethiopia.
Baro raps as well as produces. In terms of the latter, he has made a name for himself by creating instrumentals which are inspired by soul music. And in terms of international accomplishments, there is at least one achievement he can boast that no other artist can match. That it is he was the only other vocalist who was officially featured on the late Mac Miller’s first posthumous album. Said album is entitled “Circles” (2020). The name of the particular song he was featured on is “Hand Me Downs“. Indeed prior to his passing, Miller himself had personally decided to use this track on an upcoming project.
The history between the two artists dates back to 2017. This was when Sura, being a fan of Miler, got the opportunity to meet Easy Mac. Easy Mac had been to Melbourne, Australia to perform a show. The pair me after the show.
And by the way, Baro not only provided vocals to “Hands Me Down”, he also played drums on it. Indeed he is a multi-instrumentalist who also boasts of piano-playing skills.
