Bazzi

Bazzi is a singer and music producer who grew up in Michigan. His dad is actually from Lebanon. And in addition to learning Arabic as a child, Bazzi became musically inept by learning how to play the guitar, kazoo and a Middle Eastern instrument known as an oud.

Another musical landmark for Bazzi was when, in his late teens, he decided to migrate to Los Angeles, California. This was in the name of developing his musical career. However even prior to that, he had already made a name for himself on a popular social media platform known as Vine.

Bazzi remained independent up until 2017. That’s when he self-released his breakthrough single, “Mine”. “Mine” performed phenomenally, especially for an independent track, achieving multi-platinum status in a number of countries. Its success was highly-attributable to the fact that it blew up on social media platforms such as Snapchat and TikTok. And the excellence of that tune led to Bazzi being signed by a major record label.

Bazzi went on to drop his debut album, “Cosmic”, in 2018.  That same year he toured with artists such as Justin Timberlake and Camila Cabello (on “Beautiful“). Moreover he collaborated with Cabello on the 2018 track Beautiful, which went triple-platinum in the United States.

It should also be noted that Bazzi is a proficient songwriter as well as vocalist, having co-written “Mine” for instance. Indeed his songwriting talents have even led to him working with popular K-pop acts NCT Dream and EXO.
