“Bones” is the part of the singer’s (Ryan Tedder of OneRepublic) body which is the final destination of the love emitted by his shorty.

This process all begins with the “energy” she emits. Tedder compares it to “some kind of chemical” which is able to reach the “core” of his anatomy. Or put another way, Tedder says she “feel(s) like home”. Indeed when he compares her to other partners he has had in his life, those exes feel like a waste time.
