“F.U.S.S.” by Christina Aguilera

“F.U.S.S.” is most likely an acronym for “F**k U Scott Storch”. Scott Storch is Christina Aguilera’s former producer and he’s the one whom this track is aimed at. Scott contributed to her previous album titled “Stripped”, but his refusal to produce her “Back to Basics” album changed her perception about him.

Christina, who seems to have been pleased with his previous work so much that she included him in her musical dream, is shocked by his refusal. Here, she realizes that she shouldn’t have trusted him so much, insinuating that she has learnt her lessons. She reminisces on the songs they both wrote including the likes of “Loving Me 4 Me”, “Walk Away” and “Can’t Hold Us Down”.

The singer then goes on to state that she no longer cares about his decision not to work with her since she has now moved on with her music. She implies in the concluding lines that although Scott thought she couldn’t release her new album without him, she did it successfully.

Christian Aguilera vs Scott Storch

This feud reads like a case of two music divas not seeing eye-to-eye. Only in this case a male, Scott Storch, would be one of the individuals engaged in diva-like behavior.

You see Christina had worked with Storch prior to her 2006 album “Back to Basics”. And being pleased with the product, she enlisted him to produce some tracks on that project also. However, Scott only agreed so under one unorthodox condition. For not only did he want her to fly him to California on a luxurious private jet, but he also demanded his entourage to accompany him. Well Aguilera thought this excessive and therefore refused. And sure enough, Storch did not participate on “Back to Basics”.

Meanwhile Christina was quite pissed off. So she proceeded to drop a diss track against Storch called “F.U.S.S.” (2006), which is an abbreviation for “F**k U Scott Storch”. Unlike the title, the lyrics themselves aren’t necessarily offensive. Rather Aguilera comes off as if she is lamenting the fact that a homey turned his back on her. But more to the point, she is asserting that she no longer needed Storch.

Well of course he took offense to this and proceeded to throw his own jabs at Christina in response. But at the end of the day she is considered to have gotten the best of the feud as Storch went from being one of the top producers in the game to relative obscurity due to that same type of spoiled behavior.
