On “It’s Officially Done”, J.I is addressing a romantic interest or two. The vocalist is such that romantic experiences have apparently made him distrustful of ladies, and that includes the one(s) he’s rapping to on this track.

But of course this being rap music and all, it isn’t such that the Prince of N.Y goes about presenting himself as a victim or sucker for love. Instead, he comes off as being very much on top of his romance game, even if he forms relationships with less-than-ideal partners along the way. And as far as the dudes on their blocks are concerned (i.e. their exes or what have you) he’s gangsta enough to bring it to them also.
