The album is the singer’s fourth compilation album. It is also the third English album of her greatest hits series. Epic Records released the album in February 2001. It was recorded at Crescent Moon Studios, Miami. 

Greatest Hit Vol. II consists of Gloria Estafan’s English hits songs that were released between 1994 and 2000. It also includes songs she released in 2001:

  • You Can’t Walk Away from Love
  • Out of Nowhere
  • I Got No Love
  • Y-Tu-Conga.

Upon its release, the album received lower exposure and commercial success than the singer’s previous albums. However, some music critics praised it.

Greatest Hit Vol. II reached number 92 on the Billboard 200 chart and peaked at the 60th position on the U.K. Albums chart (O.C.C.).
