Strongest (Alan Walker Remix) Ft. Ina Wroldsen

This song reads more like an ode to single motherhood. And anyone who actually knows a strong single mother can probably attest to the fact that this track highlights many of the tenets they live by. For instance, when their partners decide to leave, they don’t go about begging them to stay. They instead make it their priority to fulfill the responsibilities, including financially, that he has opted to neglect.  Moreover the primary focus of their lives becomes the upbringing of their child.

This is not to say that the singer, Ina Wroldsen, is happy about her baby daddy’s decision to leave her and his own son high and dry. Indeed she equates him doing so to “treason”. But overall, her response is not to focus on him or even the harrowing position he has left her in. Rather she is hell-bent on being “the strongest” person that her son ever knew. She is now prepared to more or less play the roles of both parents, taking on the challenge of performing what is actually a two-person job. And in the process, she ensure that neither she nor their son will make any effort to contact him in the future.

In fact Ina seems to recognize that for the most part her baby’s father is dumbing out, but she is up to task of handling the void he has left particularly in his son’s life.
