  • Jones co-wrote this song with fellow American songwriter and musician Walter Becker of Steely Dan fame.
  • Australian record producer and musician Simon Hussey produced this classic.
  • Jones released this song in September 1989. It appeared on Jones’ 1989 album Flying Cowboys.
  • In 1990, Australian singer Daryl Braithwaite released a cover of the song. This cover, which appears on his Rise album, went on to become more famous than Jones’ original version. It also ended up becoming one of the most successful songs of Braithwaite’s career.
  • The song’s original version sung by Jones was featured in the 1996 hit romantic comedy film Jerry Maguire. That film starred the likes of Tom Cruise and Cuba Gooding Jr.
