“Way Back Home (Sam Feldt Edit)” by Shaun (Ft. Conor Maynard)

As far as singles go, “Way Back Home” was perhaps the most successful song to come out of South Korea in 2018. And in this version, K-Pop sensation Shaun is assisted by Dutch DJ Sam Feldt and British singer Conor Maynard to give the jam an even more-international appeal.

Part of this song’s widespread success is due to its message of everlasting love. The lyrics of the song see the singer telling the addressee that he will always be there. Even if life separates them physically or if they don’t see each other for an extended period of time, he will still ‘find his way back home’ as part of his undying devotion to the relationship.

Although it is never specified exactly what type of relationship this is, it seems to point to a romantic one. For instance, the person being sung to is referred to as “baby”. Also, Conor states “your love is all that I know”, insinuating some type of inclusive association like a marriage. There is also the picture of a pretty girl on the track’s cover art, further supporting this idea. However, “Way Back Home” has a general applicability to all loving relationships, which has likely contributed to its popularity.

Throughout the track, from its beginning to the end, the main sentiment expressed is that nothing on earth is going to be able to relinquish Shaun and Conor’s commitment to this association.

It’s heart breaking to loose your love. It’s hard to go through. Will he come out and have a girlfriend or he does have? Idk! But he deserves to be happy and why is life do unfair😭

There are no facts about the accident. Maybe just made up to grab more feels. Nobody will know unless proven. Of course, if it’s true, privacy for the girls identity is also important. I just wish Shaun show everyone how much he loves someone and let everyone know who she is. That’s just my opinion. Nevertheless, the song really has good melody and meaning to it. One of my favorite.
