“Wrong” by Luh Kel

American rapper Luh Kel sings “Wrong” from two different emotional dispositions. First off in the chorus, we can see that the girl who he is singing about and addressing is someone he is in love with. Immediately upon hooking up with her, she changed his mood from sadness to joy. Indeed he perceives her as being “perfect”. Being the recipient of her love only makes him want more, and he has become addicted to it like a feen to drugs. But then he concludes the chorus by complaining about how she did him “wrong”.

So while the chorus primarily focuses on Luh’s loving feelings for homegirl, the track’s singular verse instead points out ways in which she has violated their relationship. For instance, they seem to argue more than engage in constructive conversation. Also, in the past she held him down during times when no one had his back, but now she seems disinterested in keeping his company. However, Kel’s biggest gripe with her seems to be her lying ways. In fact she is so deceptive that he insinuates she slept with his homeys.

Luh Kel put his “all” into this relationship but instead is met with diminishing, disappointment and painful results. So now he is in emotional turmoil as he has fallen deeply in love with an individual who treats him wrongly.
