“365 Days” by EMO & Marissa

Honestly, EMO and Marissa’s “365 Days” isn’t the easiest love song to understand. On top of being imbued with a number of poetic metaphors, this looks like a case where English may not necessarily be the native language of the writers or at least one of the vocalists.

But what seems to be going down here, most simply put, is that both parties involved in the featured romance have come to the conclusion that this is indeed a toxic association. Yet, that realization doesn’t change the fact that they are very much in love with each other.

To note, this song is derived from a movie soundtrack. And the way it reads is such that it is likely based specifically on that film’s storyline, i.e. certian lyrical intricacies perhaps being such that you have to watch “365 Days: This Day” to really understand what’s going on.

But that said, what appears to be going on here conclusively is something like a couple of lovers’ minds telling them that they need to breakup, but their hearts are not allowing them to do so.

“365 Days”

This song is from the soundtrack of a Netflix film titled “365 Days: This Day”. Said film is based on a Polish novel. And at least one of the vocalists, Marissa, is from Poland.

As for Emo, there currently isn’t much information available about him. This is despite the fact that he appears on five different songs on the 365 Days: This Day soundtrack, with four of them being solos.

This track was produced by a musical duo called Hotel Torino. These are the official writing credits for “365 Days”:

  • Marissa
  • Dominic Buczkowski-Wojtaszek

  • Patryk Kumór

“365 Days”, which was released on 26 April 2022, is also featured on Marissa’s EP titled “Stranger”.
