In the track, Quavo actually mentions Minaj’s name multiple times. He says, among other things, how he once made “her scream”.

“She said I hurt her feelings 52 times (Two)”

The line above is from the song’s only verse. Quavo is using that line to refer to an interview Minaj had with Zane Lowe. In that interview, Minaj told Lowe that she was left hurt by the “Motorsport” fiasco. “Motorsport” is a 2017 song by Migos, Nicki Minaj and Cardi B. According to Minaj, she never knew that Cardi B was going to be on that track when she contributed to it. Apparently, had she known, she probably wouldn’t have been part of it.

In the song’s chorus, among other things, Quavo sends an apology to Minaj. He tells her how truly sorry he is if he hurt her feelings. On the whole, the lyrics of this song mainly address Nicki Minaj. Some have also suggested that it talks about the alleged romantic union between the two artists.

It is noteworthy that a few months prior to the release of this track, Minaj had also suggested in a song that she was romantically involved with Quavo. The song in question was the 2018 hit single “Barbie Dreams”. In the song, Minaj also name dropped Quavo.

The rumors of Minaj and Quavo’s love affair first began circulating in April 2018 when they were seen together at the Coachella music festival.

Is “Huncho Dreams” a response to Minaj’s “Barbie Dreams”?

From all indications, it appears so.
