The thing is Lil Peep died tragically on November 15, 2017 from a drug overdose. Many believe the overdose to have been accidental. Lil Peep was only 21 years old when he met his tragic end. Now almost a year after Peep’s premature death, Quavo releases “Big Bro” whose lyrics allegedly contain a strong sneak diss directed at Peep.

The alleged Lil Peep diss lyrics

The controversial lyrics in question can be found at the beginning of the song’s first verse.

“Think you poppin’ Xanax bars, but it’s Fentanyl
Think you’re living life like rockstars but you’re dead now”

Peep actually died after overdosing on the drugs fentanyl and xanax, which Quavo categorically mentions in the first line. Also, it is worth noting that while alive Peep often referred to himself as a rockstar. These lines took no time in causing outrage – especially among fans of Lil Peep. Even outside Peep’s fans, many feel the lyrics greatly disrespected the memory of the late rapper. That said, it is noteworthy to mention that nowhere in the lyrics does Quavo mention Peep’s name. He could therefore easily use that in his defense.
